Sectors related to the Movement to Socialism (MAS) have been blocking different roads in various parts of the country for a week. It causes the productive area to report losses in the millions and also prevents the passage of food, medicine and oxygen to the main capitals of the country. The agricultural sector loses approximately $13 million per day; eastern producers are most affected, losing $8 million per day.

Two thousand restaurants in La Paz and El Alto have been closed
It is reported that 2,000 food businesses, discotheques, bars, and liquor stores have been definitively closed in La Paz and El Alto, and therefore, a little more than 30,000 direct employees of this sector are affected.
Alcohol exports increase by 29%
Amid an adverse context, alcohol exports increased 29% in value and 25% in volume, according to figures from the National Institute of Statistics (INE). Until May, external sales reached $22 million. For this year the industries foresee to produce 180 million litres.
A restart of 30 public works in Santa Cruz would generate movement of $14.49 mn

The departmental government will pay the bills due until March. It expects that the reactivation will generate a movement of Bs 100 million ($14.49 mn).
The government says the blockades have already caused $100 million in damage
The government said on Monday that the road blockades in the country to date had caused economic damage of 700 million Bolivians ($100 million). It produced a shortage of food, as well as medical supplies such as oxygen and drugs.
